On our way home!

We've left the camp and are on our way home. It takes about an hour
and 15 minutes, so barring and traffic we should be back to school
between 12:15-12:30.

Our Final Night at Camp

Today was another great day of food, activities, and fun.

The weather was great. For breakfast we had eggs, ham, and hashbrowns. Lunch was mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets, and grilled cheese sandwiches. For dinner tonight, we had roasted tri-tip, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies.

During teacher time, the kids had a choice between outdoor games and group karaoke. During the campfires last night and tonight, the kids were treated to a little Neil Diamond from the teachers.

Just about 12 hours before we load up the buses for our return!

Camp - Day 3

We woke up to another beautiful day here in the mountains!

For breakfast we were served bacon, eggs, and breakfast potatoes. At lunch the kids were given soups, salad and garlic bread. At dinner, we had grilled hamburgers, chili, and onion rings.

During the day, groups got to tackle the rock climbing wall and the ropes course. In the evening, some groups continued their night hikes, but half of the group had campfire time.

Two nights to go!

Day 2

So another day has come and gone and the kids are about to go back to their cabins for the night.

The day started out with a great breakfast of English muffins, sausage patties, scrambled eggs and hash browns.

After the morning activities which included learning about pond ecology and archery, the students returned for a hot dog lunch.

Dinner tonight was Mexican themed with fajitas.

The kids are doing well, though they were looking a bit tired from all of the activity. We got to spend some time with the kids tonight to check in and talk about some of things they've enjoyed thus far.

Camp Day 1

We had a nice ride up and the weather has been terrific. The nights are definitely chilly, but we're glad there's no rain!

Once we arrived, we got situated and settled into cabins. Deli sandwiches and soup were served for lunch. In the afternoon, groups ventured out onto the trails.

For dinner, we had spaghetti, garlic bread and had a choice of two salads.

After dinner, groups went on night hikes and took advantage of the clear night sky to learn about astronomy.

One day complete.

Disneyland Paris

Today I went and spent the day at Disneyland Paris. It was freezing
cold, but it was great to experience Disney in a foreign country.

Friday, November 30, 2007

We're on our way down the mountain now. It was a very wet morning, but
the rain seems to be letting up.

The kids will definitely be ready for their own beds tonight!
